A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Helen Robinson and I love my job looking after dogs on daycare, overnight and walking. I pride myself on giving the dogs in my care fantastic walks to physically and mentally stimulate them. I have paid for an MoD permit which allows me to walk on their land so we have woods, sand, water, grass and lots of new smells. I also match up my groups to be of a similar age and temperament so they all get along. My daycare has a very low turnover as my aim is to have dogs who become the best of friends for life and love being here.
I have a van with four large crates and two small ones so all dogs are safe and secure whilst in transit.
I have a large garden which allows the dogs to have lots of fun after their walks, chasing tennis balls and chasing each other!
My experience includes fostering lurchers for many years. We had dogs that had broken bones, one with a burnt face, ill treated and in need of TLC, before they started their journey to their forever home.
To enable me to provide daycare and boarding, it involves the whole family being as passionate as I am in giving any dogs that stay with us a home from home experience. If they need a cuddle, they have a cuddle, if they like to be on the sofa at home, then they come up on the sofa here too!

SOME HAPPY CLIENTS
“The dogs in Helen's care truly get a 5* service from start to finish. She is always thinking of the individual needs of each dog. My dog really suffers in the summer heat, and Helen adapts and changes to her needs with such ease. When she stays overnight at the Robinson house, I know that she will receive as much love and attention that she normally gets at home.
I wouldn't leave my dog with anyone else!”
— Jo, Poppy's mum
“I honestly can't thank you enough for everything you do for us, I definitely wouldn't cope without you!”
— Louise, Humphrey's mum
“Helen and family recently looked after our 9 year old Labrador for the first time and he had a truly wonderful time. It was a home from home experience for him, mixing with other dogs of similar temperament and going on some amazing walks. We received daily photos, videos and updates to let us know he too was having a fabulous holiday. Helen provides a calm but fun environment and treats doggie guests as her own. Nothing is too much trouble and we look forward to not worrying about what we're going to do with our boy the next time we book a holiday abroad. Thank you all so much!”
— Caroline, Jasper's mum
“Like a home from home! This is the first time we've been away from our dog and we were nervous about how she'd be, especially after months of being with her 24/7 during lockdown. We needn't have worried - Helen and her family took such great care of her, and sent daily updates so we could see how happy she was. We can't recommend Canterbury canines highly enough.”
— Kate, Pebbles' mum
“Hi,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for taking care of my dog so well! You're like a second family to him now. He absolutely adores being around you and your family, I can tell from the many pictures and videos you send me (but also from how calm he is after a day care) that he's got so much fun with you. Plus as a worry-too-much dog mum I always know that he's under the best care he can have and for once I don't have to worry when he's with you. You're irreplaceable!”
— Alicja, Bob's mum
“Helen and Grace have been an absolute blessing to our lives! We 'recruited' them during one of the many lockdowns during 2020. I was struggling to keep Roxys walks up on my own, while I was working full time from home, juggling life as a parent and my husband was isolating due to underlying health conditions. Roxy without doubt, loves every single minute she spends with you both! She was quite a shy dog but wow, she now has so many friends! And she would never even step into your van at first! After the first walk, she hopped straight in and waits every single day to spend time with you.
We love that Helen and Grace can let themselves into our home when we are working and Roxy is DELIGHTED to see them! I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!!!! The photos and videos we receive from every walk is incredible. The only reason Roxy would ever be walked with anyone else is if we completely moved away from the area!”
— Kerry, Roxy's mum
“I started using Helen's dog walking/daycare service around 6 months ago when I got my dachshund puppy and never looked back..
Helen's care for the dogs is absolutely fantastic making sure they all interact safely and have the best walks! Our pooch is now well socialised and great off the lead. he just loves his weekly visits for walks and cuddles whilst we are at work. We come home to one very happy and tired daxie thanks to Helen's trusted and great value service!”
— Danielle, Delboy's mum
“I cannot recommend Canterbury Canines enough. Daisy absolutely loves Helen. Nothing is too much trouble, emergency day care, extra walks, even Daisy's Monday morning rolls. Helen loves all the dogs in her care as if they are her own. Daisy has so much fun on her walks and has a great group of doggie friends. Helen always updates me with daily messages, videos and photos which is always lovely to see.”
— Tina, Daisy's mum
